Latin America consists of many individual countries, each with a unique history, and each with a uniqe culture. The Latin American cultures emphasis exposes students to some of these cultures, exploring their differences from each other, and from American ways of life.

Highlights:

  • Focus on the religions found in Latin cultures and their impact, on multicultural literature and on Latin American thought

The Latin American cultures emphasis provides a cultural perspective that is ideal for students who plan to travel, for professional purposes or simply to gain exposure from other parts of the world. Career opportunities exist in positions that require foreign relations and communication.
