Spanish is one of the most recognizeable languages spoken today—nationally and across the globe. While there are dozens of varying dialects, a basic understanding of the language is invaluable.

The ability to understand and communicate in the Spanish language is a highly-desired skill in the workplace, so much so that professionals with this ability are often preferred, and promoted, in positions that interact with a diverse audience.

SPANISH LANGAUGE EMPHASIS REQUIRED COURSES (12 UNITS)

One semester or more of formal accredited study in Latin America or Spain. Students must consult with the program director to select specific courses. There are two options for meeting this requirement:

1. Brethren Colleges Abroad Program in Spain, Ecuador or Mexico.

2. Council for Christian Colleges and Universities Latin American Studies Program.
