Freshman Scholarships

The following award amounts are for the 2009-2010 academic year

Paragon Scholarship and President’s Scholarship

The President’s Scholarship and Paragon Scholarship recognize freshmen students who have demonstrated academic excellence and leadership potential.

The Paragon Scholarship
Eligibility
     • 3.75 high school GPA
     • 1200 SAT (combined math and critical reading, excluding writing portion) or 27 ACT
     • Strong Christian commitment
     • History of leadership in church, school or community
Requirements
     • Submit a letter of consideration by February 15
     • Live on campus for a minimum of two years
     • Maintain a 3.0 GPA
     • Participate in President’s Leadership course
Award
     • Full tuition
     • Only two scholarships are awarded each year

The President’s Scholarship
Eligibility
     • 3.6 high school GPA
     • 1150 SAT (combined math and critical reading, excluding writing portion) or 25 ACT
     • Early application is helpful, as there is limited space
Requirements
     • Live on campus for a minimum of two years
     • Maintain a 3.0 GPA
     • Participate in President’s Leadership course
Award
     • $10,000

Dean’s Scholarship and Faculty Scholarship

The Dean’s Scholarship and the Faculty Scholarship recognize students who have demonstrated high academic achievement and distinguished themselves through outstanding effort.

     • Maintain a 3.0 GPA
Award
     • $7,500

The Faculty Scholarship
Eligibility

     • Maintain a 2.7 GPA
Award
     • $5,000

Founder’s Grant

The Founder’s Grant represents Fresno Pacific University’s commitment to assisting qualified students in achieving their academic goals.

     • Maintain satisfactory academic progress
Award
     • $2,500

Incoming freshmen with a 3.6 GPA and an 1150 SAT score (or 25 ACT) qualify for the FPU President’s scholarship, worth $10,000 for the 2009-2010 academic year.  We expect to award 50 new President’s Scholars for 2009-2010.
