CAKE (Cultural Awareness and Knowledge Enrichment)
This on-campus leadership network encourages students, faculty, staff and administration to explore the wonderful differences in our ethnic cultures and celebrate them. CAKE uses our differences as an opportunity to discover who we are, learn about our uniqueness and become insightful to our cultural strengths and weaknesses. As we do, we are challenged to be more globally aware and learn about other cultures as well. Respect and appreciation of other culture groups is not always easy, but is certainly a prerequisite in receiving an excellent education.
Through twice-monthly meetings, activities, conferences and support of multi-cultural clubs on campus, CAKE provides a dialogue between ethnic clubs, leads the FPU community in celebrating our diversity and bridges the gap between cultural groups on and off our campus. Ultimately, CAKE prepares us to be leaders in a diverse world.
