Student Ministries Leader - Residents Ministries (Men)

• Responsible for training and equipping Bible study leaders in the areas of Bible studies, prayer groups and accountability groups to be held in men’s dorms, apartments and houses. Leaders will encourage and facilitate the participation of outreach and service in living areas. Meets weekly with students to discern what God’s Word is saying to them.

Student Ministries Leader - Residents Ministries (Women)

Student Ministries Leader - Administrative Support Ministries

• Assists with supporting the student ministry leaders and the Office of Spiritual Formation staff in carrying out the activities and responsibilities they have been assigned. This work includes basic office duties such as emails, phone calls, photocopying, etc.

Student Ministries Leader – Athletics Ministries (Men)

• Responsible for connecting and organizing events with established athletic programs in the areas of Bible studies, prayer groups and accountability groups. Encourages and facilitates the participation of outreach and service for male athletic teams. Collaborates with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

Student Ministries Leader – Athletics Ministries (Women)

• Responsible for connecting and organizing events with established athletic programs in the areas of Bible studies, prayer groups and accountability groups. Encourages and facilitates the participation of outreach and service for female athletic teams. Collaborates with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

Student Ministries Leader - Worship Team Coordinator

• Position is obtained through audition only. Leader is responsible for providing spiritual leadership for College Hour worship team. Required to lead all practices, meet weekly with university pastor/College Hour committee, select music for services, and work with vocalists, musicians and sound technicians from various worship backgrounds.

Student Ministries Leader – Worship Team Member (Vocal/Instrumental/Sound Technician)

• Positions are obtained through auditions only. Members of worship ministries participate in weekly practices for worship in College Hour and community events. These members will spend time praying and seeking God’s guidance for the purpose of preparing to lead the community in times of worship. These positions are for the Contemporary Worship Team and/or Gospel Choir.

Student Ministries Leader - Worship Arts Ministries

• Positions are obtained through auditions only. Leaders are prepared to use interpretive dance, visual arts, drama, poetry and/or spoken word as a ministry in our College Hour and in community events.

Student Ministries Leader - Assistant for CAKE (Culture Awareness & Knowledge Enrichment)

• Responsibilities include coordinating bimonthly meetings for all ethnic clubs, website information to be available to students, student leadership activities, fund-raisers, etc.

Student Ministries Leader - Communications Ministries

• Responsibilities include working with the Office of Spiritual Formation by taking pictures, writing a newsletter and sharing stories of lives changed through FPU ministries. Create a history of the work of Student Ministries.

Student Ministries Leader – Missions Ministries

• Assists with coordinating missions opportunities for FPU students to participate in during the school year and in the summer. Responsible for fundraising, helping coordinate events for Missions Week and participating/leading the Missions Club on campus. Coordinator should have experience in short term or long term missions and the ability to adapt in cross-cultural experiences.

Student Ministries Leader – Commuter Ministries

• Responsible for training and equipping Bible study leaders in the areas of Bible studies, prayer groups and accountability groups to be held in the Commuter House. Meets weekly with students to discern what God’s Word is saying to them.

Off Campus

Student Ministries Leader - Reading Ministries

• Responsibilities include working as a student coordinator to reading programs in our community (Read Fresno, Reading and Beyond, Light and Life, etc.). Work directly with Student Ministry Team in gathering volunteers and work with JCC faculty in organizing the freshmen community service hours.

Students Ministries Leader - Senior Ministries

• Responsibilities include working with volunteers in serving our senior population through the ministries of Fresno Seniors and Twilight Haven. Organize visitation and group activities for the senior community.

Student Ministries Leader - Local School Ministries

• Responsibilities include working in local schools (Terronez Middle School, Sunnyside High School, etc.). Reaching out to our community by organizing student volunteers to serve as tutors, speakers and/or mentors. Serve as an information liaison to higher education for local students.

Student Ministries Leader - Communities in Need Ministries

• Responsibilities include working with our local agencies that reach out to people in need (Poverello House, Inreach (homeless), VORP, Marjorie Mason Center, Holy Cross Center, etc.). Organize FPU students to help make a difference in the lives of people through our local agencies.

Student Ministries Leader - Living in Community Ministries

• Responsibilities include working, living and engaging with families in low income-housing. Leaders are responsible for running/participating in the after-school program that reaches out to children in the apartment complex. This ministry includes free housing as an exchange for service in the program. Applicants must show financial need.
